2nd Annual Veterans Fundraiser

Veterans Day is almost here! Save the date for our 2nd Annual Veterans Fundraiser on November 10th, hosted by OMNI Doing Co. at OMNI Brewing Co.

This is an all day event with raffle tickets to win prizes donated by local businesses going on sale at noon (raffle tickets must be purchased the day of the event). We will be supporting the Disabled American Veterans of MN, Anoka Chapter and Minneapolis Chapter, and they will collect 100% of all contributions.

There will be a Flag Ceremony by the DAV Color Guard at 5:45pm sharp, then we’ll be treated to musical performances from The Zingrays and Yellōjaket.

Don’t forgot to bring used clothing and household items for donations! A list of possible donation items can be found at the bottom of this event page. But also remember to bring your appetites because veteran owned and operated G.I. JOES FOOD TRUCK will be onsite for when hunger strikes.

If you are a veteran, there will also be a mobile service office on-site allowing you to discuss your current benefits and ensure they’re up-to-date.

We’re excited to be partnering with DAV MN (Disabled American Veterans of Minnesota) and Chive Minnesota again to ensure this event is the best it can be. This year’s corporate sponsor, Minnesota Financial Resources, Inc., has also committed to matching all raffle sales up to $2,000, a feat we almost accomplished last year. We’re incredibly grateful for their generosity.

Last year’s turnout generated $2,500 in raffle sales, cash donations, and clothing/household item donations, and all were awarded to the DAV MN Anoka Chapter and Minneapolis Chapter. Let’s see if we can do even better this year!

***Acceptable items for donations***

-Men’s, Women’s, Children’s clothing of all
seasons, sizes, and styles

-Clothing accessories such as belts, purses, hats,
gloves, ties, ect.

-Shoes of any kind

-Bedding and Bath items (sheets, blankets,
towels)

-Draperies and curtains

-Household and home décor items (pictures,
empty flower pots, ect.)

-Kitchen items and glassware

-Toys and sports equipment

-Small wooden furniture

-Books, videos, CD’s, DVD’s

-Lawn and garden items (buckets, sprinklers,
ect.)

-Tools, hardware, and home improvement items

-Holiday decorations and seasonal items

-Some upholstered furniture (only accepted if in
excellent condition)
