Summer IPA: A Light New England Style IPA.
For this year’s “Summer IPA”, we wanted to create a go-to beer that encompasses traits from 2 different styles.
A Session IPA: When designing the recipe, we wanted a beer we could enjoy multiple times on a patio in a single sitting. We needed a low abv, while keeping a full body and balance. The beer landed in at 4.4% abv.
A New England Style IPA: When crafting the recipe, we wanted a beer that made the hops shine in a Juicy, fluffy manner. During production, we changed our water profile to take advantage of the New England style.
This combination created a New England style Session IPA that highlights tropical flavor given to us by the use El Dorado hops and a huge Fruity backbone provided from use of Eureka and Mosaic hops.
Summer IPA is the latest release from our Small Batch Series. Celebrate the release in the Taproom on Saturday, Aug 4th at 2pm.
