On Saturday, June 1, we’re kicking off a month of wood aged fruited sour bottle releases with Fragaria Hibiscus.
The first of four releases planned for June, Fragaria Hibiscus is a blend of both foeder and barrel aged sour beer that was conditioned on whole strawberries and hibiscus flowers. The foeders and barrels were specially selected for their low Brett characteristics, which allows the soft, delicate notes of the fruit and flowers to shine through more prominently.
The end result is a beer that smells like a strawberry patch in bloom and a smooth strawberry flavor that melds with the tart, floral brightness of the hibiscus. As a whole is almost like sipping a strawberry lemonade in the sunshine.
Fragaria Hibiscus will be available in bottles starting at noon on Saturday, June 1. Bottles are $20, limit 1. (FBS Members: Check your email for important presale information). We will also have it on tap as well as a special firkin on the hand-pull.
The food truck will be Chili Lime (noon – 8p).
