MINNEAPOLIS, MN, MARCH 27, 2018: Indeed Brewing today at noon will post its full lineup of music and share plans for its sixth annual Whirlygig celebration, featuring three days of music, beer, and food. Whirlygig 2018 will take place during Northeast Minneapolis’ Art-A-Whirl weekend, May 18-20.

Over the three day celebration, Indeed will host 18 musical acts, with genres ranging from bar room rock and roll, to spaced out psychedelia, to freeform jazz. The stage and audience area will be tented, and located near the taprooms and outside draft cart to keep guests covered and refreshed during performances.

For those looking for more space to spread out, Whirlygig 2018 will see the premiere of Indeed’s party-side Biergarten. Located in the brewery’s new parking lot off of Quincy Street, the Biergarten will feature a tented lounge for patron’s to eat, drink, and get whirly while keeping it chill. The Biergarten will also be the exclusive location where attendees will find offerings from Wooden Soul, Indeed’s sour, wild, and barrel-aged beer series.

In additional to Wooden Soul, Whirlygig 2018 will feature an Indeed beer for every palate. Seasonal favorites like LSD, Mexican Honey, and Strawberry Fields will be available, alongside mainstays Day Tripper, B-Side Pils, Lucy, Shenanigans, and many more. Whirlygig food staples Blue Door Pub and Natedogs will join newcomers Dogwood Coffee and Milkjam Creamery to sling savory and sweet treats all weekend long.

Plenty of art will also be on tap at the event, with local artist Chuck U creating a live painting Friday into Saturday. The painting will then be auctioned off when completed. A member of NEMAA, Indeed Brewing encourages all partygoers to check out the many talented artists located in the Solar Arts Building on site, the Northrup King Building just across the train tracks, and the Casket Arts Building up the street.

Past Whirlygig events at Indeed have brought over twelve thousand attendees to the brewery during the three day fest. In 2017, Justin Vernon from Bon Iver made a surprise appearance, performing with last year’s Friday night headliner, Marijuana Deathsquads. Indeed will launch the event and announce the full music lineup on its Facebook page at noon today. Entry to the event is $1, with all proceeds benefiting the brewery’s charitable giving program, Indeed We Can.
