Event Details

Welcome to the event page for our 3rd annual Hoof’n Horn Bock Celebration. This is a fun day with great music, great food and great beer. We will be releasing our Barrel Aged Bock, crafted especially for this event. This is our famous Hoof’n Horn Bock beer, barrel aged, giving it a whole new dimension of flavor. This year we will be doing something new to u4ic but an old tradition from Germany. It is called Bierstacheln! It is putting a hot spike into a beer, caramelising residual sugars and shocking some of the carbonation out of the beer, creating a smooth foam with fine pores. The flavour is a more round one, benefitting from the soft texture. At the same time you get the sensation of a warm foam while chasing it with the cold beer underneath. The beer’s temperature will usually increase by 2-3 degrees C.
But why you ask?
It’s an old tradition of German blacksmiths. They would heat up their beer to a regular drinking temperature while enjoying all of the benefits listed above.
We will also have live entertainment throughout the day. Our main event being The Alpensterne Band! We are welcoming them to u4ic for the very first time and they will be playing from 6 to 10 pm.
The group performs some of Germany’s most loved folk songs with Jim Strehlke’s incredible jodeling. Jim mastered the art of European jodeling from one of Germany’s greatest, Sepp Diepolder. Recently he was hired by Walt Disney to jodel “The Silly Song” from Snow White which will be featured on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride at Walt Disney World in Orlando. For more information about the band go to their website at

Wingking will be the food truck and as usual, they always serve up awesome food and something special for the day!
