3rd Annual Leech Lake Frostfest
Event Details
Back again by popular demand, we welcome you to the third annual, Leech Lake Frostfest. Join us Saturday, March 14th, 2020 from 11AM to 4PM, on the frozen waters of Minnesota’s 3rd largest lake for an afternoon party.
Enjoy a full day of snow golf, live music, craft beer, a homebrew competition, local foods, and tons of activities and games for the kiddos. All ages are welcome.
We’ve also selected Deep Portage Learning Center again, as our beneficiary for this year’s event. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to aid their efforts.
THIS IS A NO TRACE EVENT. Every structure and piece of trash will be removed from City Park.

THE PARTY
Local Beer: Provided by Portage Brewing Company
Local Foods: There’s nothing better than barbecue and beer. Enjoy the best from our friends at Piggy’s and Green Scene Organic Market.
Live Music: TBD but we got some great stuff in the works
Homebrew Comp: In partnership with Upstream Homebrewers Club, enjoy a free homebrew sample at each hole’s warming tent while you golf. At the end of the round, vote for your favorite beer where the winner will be invited to brew it back at Portage Brewing Co.

THE GOLF
Overview: In partnership with Tianna Country Club, a 9-hole snow golf course will be designed and constructed for play. Entry into the event covers your 9-hole round of golf, a club, and a ball. Each hole has its unique distance and hazardous challenge. Take your time to finish the round and cozy up in our warming houses provided by Reeds.
