On Saturday, May 11th, head brewer Timmy Johnson and the team at Barrel Theory will release bottles of Barrel Aged Ice Cream Social, a barrel-aged Imperial Stout with strawberry, vanilla, cacao, & marshmallow.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?

  • Doors will open at 10am for bottle purchasing
  • Wrist-banding will begin at 9am
  • Limit 1 bottle per person
  • Bottles are $30, cash or card, no discounts
  • Current Member Society members will have their bottle set aside and held for purchase in the taproom during regular taproom hours starting on May 11th and up to 30 days following the release (member discount will be applied)
  • BA Ice Cream Social will be on draft in the taproom and available in 4 & 10 oz pours when we open the doors for regular business on May 11th

How limited will this beer be?
There are more bottles available and there will be more on draft of this beer than we’ve had for previous specialty releases.

What is Barrel Aged Ice Cream Social?
It’s an Imperial Stout aged in Four Roses & Willett Rye bourbon barrels and conditioned on strawberry, vanilla, cacao, & marshmallow. This beer made its debut at the Minnesota Craft Brewers’ Guild Winterfest 2019 and won best beer of the festival. It was also the People’s Choice winner at the 2019 Northern Lights Rare Beer Festival.

What’s the ABV?
12.5%

Can I hang out in the taproom after I purchase my bottle?
Once you make your purchase, you must leave the taproom until we open for regular business.

Will you fill Crowlers of BA Ice Cream Social?
Only these 750ml bottles.

What else do I need to know?
We appreciate your patronage very much. If you choose to line up, please be respectful of our neighbors, keep noise to a minimum, keep the sidewalks clear and accessible to the public, and please clean up after yourself.
