Inspired by the centuries-old Norwegian farmhouse brewing tradition, this experimental New England DIPA was made with a Kviek (pronounced “kwike”) yeast strain, sourced from the farmstead of Terje Raftevold in Norway. With notes of fresh pineapple, mango, and tangerine, we then layered in a juicy hop bill of Denali, El Dorado, and Waiti hops, alongside hefty amounts of wheat and oats for better mouthfeel. This was brewed in collaboration by Bent Paddle Brewing Co. out of Duluth and Portage Brewing out of Walker, and will be available at the Gnome on Friday, September 14th.
