Bent Paddle Festiversary 2019

Join us in the brewery lot on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 2 – 8 pm to help us celebrate!

We will be taking over our West Michigan Street block + neighborhood parking lots and throwing a “Festiversary” party – an outdoor brewery festival celebrating Bent Paddle Brewing Co.‘s anniversary & you – the Partners & Paddlers that have helped us make it this far! There will be 2 stages of live music, curated food trucks, games & family friendly activities + entertainment, community connections galore, and of course a whole lot of Bent Paddle beer!

BEER HUTS: All beer is served out of Branded Huts, gotta try em all!

– “This Fest is Wild” Hut ft. the Festibeer – A special pilot brewed beer created just for Festiversary each year – 2019 will be the Festi Keller Pils!

COMMUNITY BUILDING:
Frost River is our neighbor across Michigan Street, (yes, it’s ok to go into the shop’s back door with your wristband!) who manufactures reliable outdoor packs / softgoods from American crafted materials, is leading the “pack” in the activities area!

This year they have teamed forces with the Duluth Children’s Museum, The Duluth Art Institute, Positive Energy Outdoors and 3 Owls Outdoor Play for even more fun with the whole family including a skateboard demo by Damage Board Shop and out-of-this-world stunt performances by the Dangerous Fun Show!

The Frost River Trading Co. Activities Area will be alive with family-friendly revelry and will feature:

Damage Boardshop Skateboarding Demo – Frost River Family Lot 2 – 6 pm
Our friendly neighbors at Damage Boardshop are one of the originals of the Lincoln Park Craft District, having opened their doors in 2005. From the days you spend on the hill snowboarding with your buddies, to cruising around on four wheels and heading to the beach to soak in the sun – Damage has you covered!

Kids and adults alike will enjoy a watching the skateboarders young and old on the Festiversary grounds from 2 – 6p in the lot just behind Damage’s awesome year-round shop!

Dan the Monkeyman -Frost River Family Lot @ 3 & 4:30 pm
Dan the Monkey Man is simple, sweet, charming fun for the kids. Little kids. Kids who like to draw, talk to stuffed animals and bang on instruments like preschool Pete Townshends. Dan Munthe, lead singer of grunge-rock band the Resonance, created Dan the Monkey Man about eight years ago when the artist’s three children were still young. The show was a hit. Munthe dons special ears and a tail before taking the stage and gives the under-7 crowd a chance to dance the day away. Dan the Monkey Man performs a monthly free kids show Saturday at Beaner’s.

Our friends at The Duluth Experience are your local guides to Duluth – providing guests with behind-the-scenes brewery bus tours, walking tours in The Lincoln Park Craft District, kayak tours on Lake Superior & St. Louis River, mountain bike tours on The Duluth Traverse… and more!

The Duluth Experience will be providing free mini tours of our production facility during Festiversary as well as hosting a Duluth Trivia Challenge. Stop by their table for details.
