Bierstacheln Fest (Hot Iron Bock Poking)

If you like roasting marshmallows, you’ll love sticking beer! “Bierstacheln” (beer sticking) goes back centuries in the German countryside where on cold winter days, innkeepers were sometimes asked to douse their red-hot fireplace pokers into guests’ beers to warm them up a bit—which also added a rich caramel flavor. Join us as we continue this winter tradition on Waldmann’s biergarten using our first-released Doppelbock, malty German lager that’s perfect for carmelizing. Families, kids and kids-at-heart are all welcome, as we’ll be marshmallowstachlen smores too! Snow or shine, the fun is outside, so dress for the elements. Saturday March 11, noon-5pm.
