Big Brew Day at Lift Bridge Brewery

We are celebrating National Home Brewers’ Day in style by inviting all home brewers (or just 30 of you) into the brewhouse to brew a batch of beer together!
We will also be selling fresh wort for $5.50 for 5 gallons brewed by one of our Head Brewers, Mike Connelly!
The official beer recipe this year is in the works with our brewing team.
Lift Bridge Brewing Co will hold its third annual Big Brew Day on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 12-6pm! Homebrewers who reserve a spot through Eventbrite may show up at 10am to get set up.
Each year, the American Homebrewing promotes “Big Brew Day” to try to get everyone around the world to brew beer at the same time! Last year over 17,000 individuals attended an event! Come and learn about Homebrewing!
Individuals registered on EventBrite will be able to take 5 gallons of wort home to ferment.
30 EventBrite registered Homebrewers will be able to set up their equipment and brew inside the brewery or outside in a designated area. Because we have limited space, some Homebrewers will need to set up outside.
This year, we are offering two educational brew talks scheduled for 1pm and 3pm, open to the public (instead of tours).
Members from local Homebrew Clubs will be onsite to answer questions about memberships.
Lift Bridge Beer will be available for purchase!
Food will be available for purchase!
HOMEBREWERS:
You must SIGN UP to brew at the brewery on EventBrite. For this year, we will host up to 30 brewers.
The unload/load area will be AFTER 10am through the BACK DOOR of the brewery.
Set up will be inside the brewery and/or in a designated spot in our parking lot (weather depending).
Invite your friends/family to help you brew!
You may bring your own equipment, chairs, tents.
Brewing water and cool chill water will be available.
Many people will most likely be chilling at the same time, we will run hoses with splitters to accommodate as many at a time as possible.
HOMEBREW CLUBS:
Please invite your whole crew to attend and be part of the fun!
You are welcome to bring/host a table to answer questions about your club (please contact us).
TO BRING HOME 5 GALLONS of WORT:
You must purchase on Eventbrite to bring home wort, prior to May 5, 2018.
You will need to print off your ticket or pull it up on your mobile device.
Yes, this is a separate registration from the ticket to homebrew at the brewery.
No, you do not have to brew at the brewery in order to purchase home wort!
The wort will be ready at approximately 4pm, you must be there to fill your sanitized vessel and bring it home that day. YOU MUST CHECK IN YOUR CARBOY (plastic preferred) BY 2PM! We will have a system in place so you’ll get your carboys back and in order.
You will need to bring or purchase a CLEAN vessel to carry your wort home.
You will need to purchase your own yeast to ferment your wort at home.
