Event Details
This Friday, we will be releasing Black Prism exclusively at The Starkeller Taproom.
Venturing far away from what a traditional Berliner Weisse is, Black Prism is the result of brewing a big, dark, malty beer in a typical Berliner Weisse fashion. It was aged for a year in one our our original 80 year-old cypress wood foudres before an additional 4,000 pounds of black currants were added for an additional five months of aging. Black Prism presents itself a deep, dark purple color fading to black in a glass. Complex, dark fruit aromas appear over malt notes of smokey dark coffee. Expect a deep acidity with a sweet tart fruit character and a subtle fruity earthiness on top of layers of dark malts.
In true Black Friday fashion, our taplines will be going to the dark side.
