Two New Boom Island Beers in the Can (Literally and Figuratively)!

Starting Friday, February 22 the Boom taproom will be pouring 2 new beers in the can. Enjoy food from Louisana Purchase and live Ska/Reggae music by the Skruffians at 7pm!

The Beers:

Lemon Drop Unfiltered Wheat

This unfiltered wheat beer is made with a generous helping of Lemondrop hops and a full pound of lemon peel for a crisp citrus bite. It’s hazy, smooth and dry.

Chill Lacs Session IPA

Inspired by Minnesota’s 10,000-plus lakes, this session IPA has a delicate citrus nose and just a hint of bitterness. Enjoy a crisp, clean finish — perfect for any season.

An easy drinking, IPA? Some said, “Impossible!” We say, “Chill Lacs.” Inspired by Minnesota’s 10,000 refreshing lakes, or lacs, as the settlers called them, Chill Lacs has a delicate citrus nose, subtle bitterness and a crisp, clean finish. It’s one beer that truly lives up to its name.

Our first releases in a 12oz. can! It’s a big deal for us. So much so we thought of flying out to Cannes, France to make a big splash, red carpet style announcement. Too expensive. We then thought of making our announcement closer to home, in Canada. Nah. Hell, it’s colder there than it is here. Instead we are having a Boom Island 120z. Can Release party on Friday, February 22. Try pours of our new offerings starting at 4pm, but be sure to stick around for the return of the Skruffians, our fave instrumental Ska band.
