WBC will donate $2 per pint sold to the WHS Conservation Club! Here is some information about the organization:
“Explore, Expand, and Protect our Natural Resources" is the motto of the Waconia High School
Conservation Club. The Waconia High School’s Conservation Club was founded in the 2006-2007
school year with the intention of offering Waconia High School students an opportunity to
experience and help preserve nature. Since its inception the club has grown from less than 20
members to more than 200. The clubs’ main objectives still closely follow the founding philosophies
of getting students involved in outdoor learning, stewardship, and hands-on activities.
WHS Conservation Club has sponsored activities such as:
 Nickel Dickel Day Clean Up
 School Forest Ecology Education
 Adopt-a-Highway
 Habitat Restoration and Tree Planting
 Lake Waconia Clean up
 Ice Fishing
 Pheasant Hunting
 Fall Campout
 Tailgating
 Boundary Waters Canoe Trip
There is no fee required to be a member and most events are free to members. The club operates
strictly on a donation budget. Many of the community service projects, such as Lake Waconia
cleanup, tree planting, and BWCA camping were made possible though donations from local
individuals and businesses. Students may also earn a Varsity Letter of participation if they meet the
lettering criteria.
More information about these activities can be found on Facebook, Twitter and Schoology.
