Featured Craftsman in the Taproom: Josh Davis

On Saturday March 30 (Next Saturday from the date of this posting), Josh Davis of Davis Reproductions will be displaying his armor and weaponry in the taproom, in addition to giving two talks, at 3pm and 5pm. We first met Josh and his wife at the Viking Festival in Moorhead some years back, and have wanted to showcase his stuff in the taproom ever since. He does quite a few Viking items as well, and will be open to talking about commissioned pieces if one should so desire. Here is a little more about Josh from the man himself:

“I hold a degree in Medieval Studies and have been making medieval arms, armor and artifacts since 2007. I started out my career at Arms and Armor in Minneapolis, and have owned my own independent business, Davis Reproductions, since 2015.

Everything I make is a custom, made-to-order piece that is recreated as historically as possible using modern techniques.

I also participate in numerous jousting and reenactment events each year across Germany, Switzerland, France, England, and the United.

While I specialize in armor, I also reproduce many different kinds of medieval artifacts including weapons, knives, leather work, and more. I am always eager to take on new and different projects to keep me challenged.

I am planning on having some antler handled knives and folding knives available too at HammerHeart on March 30th.”
