Fresh Hop Brew Competition 2018

Community Hops is hosting the Fourth Annual on Saturday, November 3rd, 1pm to 4pm.
This event will be free and open to the public. The public will choose the best beers of the competition while sampling free beer!
Brewer Entry Fee is just $10!
Brewers are asked to deliver or make arrangements to have your beer delivered by noon on the day of the contest to the Longfellow Garden. You will receive email confirmation when your submission has been approved which will include your participant number. Please mark your bottles or keg with your number but just the number – no other identifying information. Brewer participant numbers will be limited by our ability to serve samples.
You must use local fresh hops in the beer. You can choose the source – Community Hops has some lovely hops…. just saying…. you could get some of ours!
Public entry to the sampling is free (donations will be accepted). Any member of the community that shows up and proves legal drinking age gets a ballot where they can choose three beers ranked 1, 2, 3. Anyone who can demonstrate brewing industry connections gets an additional ballot and vote for Industry Choice (1 selection).

Industry Choice
Prizes are bragging rights and a sweet award.
