Fulton Pintwood 2023

Hello Race Fans,

I am pleased to announce the Pintwood Derby is back again! The annual build it – tinker it – race it – drink it event that lets adults be kids again, but with better beverages. Fulton Taproom hosts this unsanctioned Pinewood Derby each spring to allow you to get your wheels spinning to create the car that will bring you bragging rights for the rest of time. Or, maybe you’ll lean more towards decoration and win best in show. Regardless your angle, there’s participation trophies abound!

And here’s how:

1. Registration

It all starts with a kit and a dream.

Buy your kit and register at FULTON TAPROOM February 28 through March 23. 

$30 gets ya:

– 1 Pinewood kit and rules

– Entry to the Race & Voting for chances to win Fulton prizes

– Participation Award & package

– First Beer Free

2. Preparation

“It’s not always bad to be in last place. Here’s some things we can focus on. 1. We tried hard and 2. We’re still dear friends.”

Get your kit, grab a beverage then get creating!

Following the official Derby rules, craft your car to be the fastest out there. Or, go the artsy way and make your car the best in one of the following categories :

– Best Fulton Car

– Best Beer Car

– Best MINNesota MADE Car

– Most “Out Of This World” Car

– Best in Show

Voting will be open to all on race day.

3. Race Day

“Time to let the cougar loose.” 

Our entire event will be hosted by Danny Sparxxx – local legend who likes to race dirty!

Check in at noon and gear up for big individual introductions before race time. Races will start before 1pm.

The Derby will be double elimination bracket style.

Danny likes to get the people going, so stick around for all the competitions.

Grand Prize will be awarded at the end of the event!
