Hops for Hunger™ is an annual craft beer tasting fundraiser for SACA Food Shelf and Thrift Store.
Join us for Hops for Hunger™ 12, SACA Food Shelf’s annual fundraiser celebrating great craft beers from over 40 local brewers. This year’s event is on March 22, 2024 at Quincy Hall, in NE Minneapolis from 6 PM to 9 PM. Enjoy delicious craft brews, live music, fun raffles, and a silent auction including travel exclusive travel packages in partnership with Amfund.
For more than a decade, Hops for Hunger™ has:
- Enabled SACA to purchase over 3,500,000 lbs of food for families in need
- Helped feed over 85,000 families and households
- Helped provide over 10,000 Holiday meals
YOUR TICKET PURCHASE GOES DIRECTLY TO FEEDING HUNGRY FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY.
This is a 21+ event. Designated Drivers or non-drinkers can still enjoy 10 NA Craft Beers poured by ABV Technologies and sodas poured by individual breweries. NA Tickets are available online or at the door for $15.
Hops for Hunger Story
12 years ago, SACA Food Shelf was on the verge of closing its doors and needed immediate funds. A staff member had a simple idea to host a craft beer tasting fundraiser. With the help of 9 local craft breweries and business sponsors, the first ever event Hops for Hunger was a success. Thanks to the funds raised at the Hops for Hunger™ events, and the support of our incredible community, SACA Food Shelf has continued to feed families in Columbia Heights and surrounding communities for almost 50 years. Now in it’s twelfth year, Hops for Hunger is a beloved annual event for brewers, supporters, and craft beer lovers alike. We are beyond excited to invite the community to Hops for Hunger 12 in 2024!
About SACA Food Shelf
SACA Food Shelf & Thrift Store is a 501c3 nonprofit that has served Columbia Heights, Hilltop, Fridley, Spring Lake Park, and Northeast Minneapolis for almost 50 years. We serve 50,000 individuals each year through their client-choice food shelf, food delivery program, and on-site thrift store. In addition to Hops for Hunger™, SACA hosts a golf tournament in early June and an Empty Bowls soup fundraiser in October. SACA Food Shelf is well known for our involvement in the community and for providing high-quality, essential services.
