Event Details

On Monday, September 17th the chefs of Alma will present a dining experience to highlight the flavors and style of Keepsake Cidery.

Tracy Jonkman and Nate Watters, owners of Dundas based Keepsake Cidery, make long aged cider from only local fruit, with the hope of expressing both time and place. Tracy and Nate are raising apples in an organic orchard, which grows only steps from their cidery, and they look to work with the ingredients and encourage natural progression without additives and interventions. They use no refined sugars, natural or artificial flavors, or sulfites. Just local fruit, specializing in wild yeasts and spontaneous fermentation.

This dinner will begin with a reception of cider and passed hors-d’oeuvres followed by a four-course meal with selected pairings. Throughout the evening there will be opportunities to talk with Nate and Tracy, and the Alma chefs.
