LTS Brewing Infused: Wise Drunk

Wise Drunk: an infusion that starts with our Weizenbock for the base beer. We then added some bourbon soaked oak inserts and cherries

the result: Dark. Earthy. Smooth. With a hint of fruitiness. The Weizenbock has notes of toffee, molasses and raisins and the earthiness of the bourbon contrasts that sweetness. The oak softens up the finish and adds some nice character to the beer while the cherries bring back some of that sweetness on the finish.

What’s an infusion? We do infusions every Thursday – always starting with one of our regular beers, then adding different flavors using adjuncts like fresh fruit, spices & herbs, unique extracts, and more! Sometimes we mimic our favorite desserts, cocktails, barrel aging, fruit beers, or just experiment to see what you think of the end result! We’re not saying they’re for everyone…but if you find one that interests you be sure to get here right away because they don’t last long. We only make 5 gallons and serve it until it’s gone. Stop in for a sample, order a 5oz pour, or go for the full 12 ounces! The only restriction is we don’t sell howlers of them until Sunday – if there’s any left – and no growler sales of the infused.
