Changing Gaits offers licensed equine therapy to educate, mentor, and empower behavioral changes and enhance life skills for people of all ages with mental, physical, and emotional disabilities. As well as trail rides, birthday parties, volunteer opportunities, team building/leadership retreats, and youth group day camps at our Wild River location. Our Brook Park location hosts a men’s sober home, that offers Christ centered drug/alcohol recovery and counseling, family therapy, Bible studies, step groups, and equine-assisted therapy.
As a diversified Equine Assisted Addiction Service (EAAS), Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) Program we are committed to teaching, guiding, and encouraging positive attitudes, behavior modification, and life skills by using a powerful, therapeutic approach though the healing bond with horses. Changing Gaits programs and experiences encourages children, teenagers, adults, families, and company groups) to learn:
Creative thinking, Assertiveness, Relationship building, Self-esteem, Problem solving, Leadership, Teamwork, Positive attitude, Verbal and non-verbal communication, Social interaction, and Repetitive actions are some of the issues they address.
