Say it with me: Cloh- Duu- Ahld
Named after Saint Clodoald (better known as Saint Cloud) this is a traditional style Doppelbock releasing just in time for Lent. Some monks fasted for all of Lent surviving on Bock beer alone, hence the nickname “liquid bread”. Brewed using Vienna (and other German and European) malts and lagered with German yeast. You’ll find plenty of sweet, bready notes in this beer, as well as notes of caramel and toffee, with a hint of raisin on the nose.
