Join us on October 26th for a Pay It Forward Fundraiser! Silent auction, live music, and giveaways from 2-8pm in the taproom to benefit Pay It Forward Fund. During the month of October, proceeds from Pink Lemonade Hard Seltzer will be donated to Pay It Forward Fund.
To help women fighting cancer AND in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Urban Growler is proud to announce our Pink Lemonade Hard Seltzer. Proceeds from each can sold will be donated to the Pay It Forward Fund, a non-profit dedicated to helping women’s and breast cancer patients pay basic living expenses while going through treatment so they can focus on what’s really important—getting healthy.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month hits close to home at Urban Growler. Our resilient and tenacious Sales Rep Julie Hays was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in March of 2017. Triple Negative Breast Cancer is a more rare and aggressive form of cancer with less treatment options. She went through chemo, surgery, and radiation, and chose to take a chemo trial pill from October-May that had been shown to help with reducing triple negative recurrence rates. Julie is now 7 years cancer free! Through the generosity of her support system, who created a GoFundMe page and hosted a fundraising event at Urban Growler, she was able to go through treatment without accumulating debt or worrying about how to pay her bills.
The reality is that for some women, that’s not the case… Along with the grueling process of treatment, they also have to worry about basic bills and financial needs like car and mortgage payments, grocery shopping, utilities, maybe tuition, and more. Pay It Forward is completely volunteer-run, which means 100% of donations go directly to assisting patient bills.
