Quiplash: An On The Haus Battle of Wits

Join us for an epic battle of wits and wittiness as we hold a massive game of Quiplash in the taproom. Former brewer Dave Manthei will host the evening, game time running from 7:30-9:30pm. To further support the magical act of improv, Bauhaus will be donating $1 per beer ordered during game time to the non-profit Fourth Wall MSP, an organization that provides rehearsal and co-working space for performing artists, located in NE Minneapolis.

A: Quiplash is a game that relies solely on your wits! Using your phone, the objective is to provide the wittiest answer to prompts like these:
* Something you’d be surprised to see a donkey do
* A double rainbow doesn’t have gold at the end of it. Instead, it has ______.
* A better name for France
Your answer will be pitted against another player’s answer in a head-to-head battle. Other players – even an audience of taproom goers – then vote on their favorite answer.

Q: How will it work at Bauhaus?
A: The idea is to host 8 rounds of Quiplash throughout the night. There are limited seats for those providing answers, but unlimited seats for those wanting to vote on the answers. Each winner of each round will receive a free beer and will advance to a Championship Round. The all-stars will compete head to head in one final round for a bigger beer prize.

Q: What is the charitable angle again?
A: This event is technically an “On the Haus” event to support Fourth Wall MSP, a local non-profit that empowers performance artists of all kinds. What better way to show our support than hosting a game rooted in improvisational skills? Oh, and we’ll also be giving them $1 per beer ordered from 7-10pm.
