Event Details
You now have two travel choices on Memorial Day weekend: Sit in traffic with the rest of the state trying to get out of town, or come to our place.
Come celebrate the start of Minnesota summer in the Surly Beer Garden with the launch of our new summer beer, Heat Slayer, while paying homage to Cologne, the German city that inspired it. Slay Day is a party full of everything you need in the summer – music, yard games, grilling, sunshine (hopefully), and, of course, beer.
This is a ticketed event, and tickets are limited. They will go fast. Yours will include:
- Access to the party.
- A continual flow of Heat Slayer Kölsch.
- All-you-can-eat German-inspired fare.
- Commemorative Kölsch glass to take home.
This event is 21+ for unlimited food and beer. Minors under 18 are able to attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian and an Under 18 ticket must be purchased. Children 5 and under in strollers or attached to their parents may attend at no charge.
Option #1: 21+ ticket, all you can eat and drink, commemorative glass–$30.
Option #2: Under 18 ticket, food and soft drinks–$12.

This event starts at 1:00 pm and ends at 5:00 pm. Last call will be at 4:30 pm.
This event is rain or shine.
There is a small service fee for each ticket package.
What You Need To Know
FOOD:
- Brats, buns, kraut, mustards
- Veggie sausages from Herbivorous Butcher for vegetarians
- Pretzels and mustard
- Freezie Pops (hell yeah freezie pops)
BEER: Heat Slayer is the only beer included in the event ticket. Ticketed guests will receive unlimited pours of Heat Slayer in traditional Kölsch glassware from 1pm – 5pm.
The patio bar will be open if you’d like to purchase other Surly beers.
