Event Details
The annual release of our Dark House Imperial Stout will be Thursday, November 21st when the taproom opens at 4pm. This behemoth is brewed each winter and then cold aged for a year before being released on tap. We’ll also have one of our favorite bottle releases of the year – our current 2018 version, and then also our 2017 and 2016 vintage years. Take one of each home with you to do your own vertical tasting!
Dark House | Imperial Stout
9.5% ABV | 92 IBU
Rich. Complex. Aggressive. These are but a few words that typically describe Imperial Stouts and Dark House is no different. Brewed in the fall of 2018 and cold aged for over a year, this massive opaque beer has had the advantage of time to develop flavors, aromas, and synergy not present in “young” stouts. Expect flavors of chocolate, intense coffee and dry roast, dark fruit (e.g. plum, cherry, raisin, port wine), burnt caramel, and warming alcohol. Full bodied with a velvety, luscious texture and a sweet finish. Available for a limited time, we recommend picking up a 750ml bottle (while supplies last) to age further in your personal beer “cellar”!
