Tapping History: Dog Sledding in Excelsior

Sled dog racing is a winter pastime almost a century in the making for the Lake Minnetonka Area. Mushers have gathered to compete in this area since the 1930’s. In 2022, Excelsior will be flooded once again with fluffy huskies as the Klondike Dog Derby returns. Learn more about this event and its heritage with the organizers of the Derby itself!

Doors open at 6:00 pm, program begins at 7:00 pm. Limited seating available. Registration Required.* Seating is first come, first served. $5.00 suggested contribution at the door.
