What is Booya, you ask??
“Booya” (sometimes spelled “booyah”) is a type of stew particular to Minnesota and the Upper Midwest, made in batches of up to 200 gallons at a time. The word is rumored to have origninated from a mishearing of “buillon” in Wisconsin. Most recipes take a minimum of 12 hours to cook, and some as many as four days. You will see Booya at tailgates, church festivals and for family gatherings.
Our amazing kitchen team will be cooking our secret Booya recipe in our massive cauldron over open flames all day outside.
The event starts at 3 PM and we will be serving until we SELL OUT.
$8 a bowl and $12 a quart! If you want a larger quantity, bring your pot, bowl, bucket, planter or wheelbarrow for us to fill. We can’t wait to see you.
