Wild Mind Mariage du Rouge Bottle Release

There’s no need to choose between beer or wine with our third March bottle release, Mariage du Rouge. This spontaneously fermented wild ale conditioned on whole Tempranillo grapes blends the beer and wine words to create a tart, fruity, and balanced wild ale.

To create Mariage du Rouge, mature, foeder-aged spontaneous beer was added to the blending tank onto Tempranillo grapes for whole fruit fermentation. Using whole grapes provided additional tannins and structure to the beer. The grapes mild tannic notes balance out the acidity of the spontaneous base beer, resulting in a complex, one-of-a-kind hybrid.

Bottles will be available on Saturday, March 23 at noon (11:30am for Forgotten Barrel Society members). $18 a bottle, no limit.
