Sept 30th we’re drinking in the return of chilly weather with Booya.
Booya: a thick chicken/pork/beef stew that many believe was created by Walloon Belgian settlers. The origin of the rather unusual word comes from bouillir, the French word for ‘to boil’. Although variations of this dish are found in many cultures worldwide, the wonderfully hearty dish called “booya” can only be found in the Upper Midwest.
Ours is made with smoked pulled pork, smoked chicken, and Andouille sausage to give it a Southern flare.
We’ll also be serving some spicy cocktails to keep you warm. Spicy Bloody Mary’s and Dark Fatha on tap.
Free to attend, family friendly.
